Practices: On snow training will be held Wednesdays at Bradford Ski Area. Vans will meet at 6PM in front of Chicken Lou's and training will run from 7PM-9PM.

We are a club sport at Northeastern University in Boston, MA. We race in the Thompson division of the United States Collegiate Ski Association (USCSA), which is part of the United States Ski and Snowboard Association (USSA). The league holds twelve races over six weeks, usually six of which are slalom, six of which are giant slalom. These races are held during the course of the regular ski season from January through the end of Febuarary. Regionals are held at Waterville Valley, NH at the end of February. Nationals will be held either at Sunday River, ME or at Winter Park, CO.
Both mens and womens teams have a great time, practicing, fundraising and racing together. For anyone who is at all intereseted in becoming a part of the team, or wishes to make a donation, please feel free to contact us at any time. Previous racing experience is not required, but we do recommend students to be experienced skiers. Its a great way to get involved in a club sport, meet new interesting people and most importantly to have fun.
We start dry-land practices in late september, so be sure to contact as soon as fall semester starts so that we can place you on our email list for updates on team practices and meetings. Dry-land consists of weight training, stability exercises, core workouts, and running stairs.
Snow practices are held at Bradford Ski Area, usually around $20.00 for a ticket and gate training. We train mostly slalom two to three nights a week. There is also a christmas training camp that is held at Wildcat Ski Area, usually before christmas for around five days.
There is a men's team that consists of 10 slots and a women's team that consists of 10 slots. The top three times count for team scores. There is also a "B" team for people who would like to continue to improve themselves for the future.
Every October we hold a pre-season meeting for all interested members. Before practicing with us all students need to fill out a risk and informed consent form and Hazing form according to strict Northeastern University athletic sports rules and regulations.
In order to participate in the races, students must be USSA members. The deadline before the late fee applys to become a USSA member is October 15th. Non-scored is $70 and competitor is $140, either one is available to northeastern racers. Please see ftp://ftp.ussa.org/Public/Athletics/Forms/2009-2010/membership/App%20Alpine%2010.pdf for further information. USCSA forms are necessary to participate as well, but will be provided to you later in the season in November.
